With the help of Sun Power and American Asphalt, San Ramon School District will be exchanging sun energy for electrical energy at 5 of its local schools.
American Asphalt will be providing the foundation for installation as many of the panels will be mounted at ground level. Asphalt does an excellent job of retaining heat adding to the panel’s efficiency.
The reasons to go Solar are many with savings being at the top. It also provides peace of mind and reduces reliance on local utility and impact of energy inflation.
Dale Kunz sums it up this way, “We are always thrilled to be part of programs that reduces our states carbon footprint. It’s a win-win as students will see first hand the impact of solar on their campuses and the school district will have significant energy savings. These are good things for our community.”
